PriApps Discontinues its OEM Partnership with Print Control Software for ROI Print Manager

AUSTIN, Texas – PriApps today announced that it has discontinued its OEM / White Label Agreement with Print Control Software, Inc. for the supply of its print management software as ROI Print Manager.  PriApps will now support all existing users of its technology running the ROI Print Manager brand directly. All existing End Customers of ROI Print Manager with a current Maintenance & Support Agreement are eligible to upgrade to the PriApps brand of its print management and document capture software at no additional cost.

Background
In 2015 PriApps entered into an agreement with Print Control Software to provide its award-winning print management technology as a White Label OEM under the ROI Print Manager brand.  As part of the agreement, Peter Turnbull, President & CEO of PriApps joined the board of Print Control Software as Chief Operating Officer.  From 2015 to 2021 PriApps assisted Print Control Software in selling and supporting its technology as ROI Print Manager.

What does this mean for existing users of ROI Print Manager?

This means that Print Control Software is no longer authorized to sell PriApps’ technology as ROI Print Manager, nor is it authorized to sell Maintenance & Support services backed by PriApps. Print Control Software does not own, and never has owned, any intellectual property of PriApps even under the ROI Print Manager brand.

Effective January 2021, PriApps will not be releasing any new versions of its software under the ROI Print Manager brand.  All existing users of ROI Print Manager with a current Support & Maintenance Agreement are eligible to upgrade to the PriApps brand of its print management and document capture software at no additional cost.

Why Upgrade to PriApps?
Until 2019, the ROI Print Manager brand of PriApps’ technology offered identical functionality to that of PriApps’ own branded software. Since this time PriApps has released a number of new features that extend the value of its offering.

These include:

• Personalized Scan Workflow – PriApps now offers Personalized Scan Workflows on supported MFP brands including scan-to-email and scan-to-folder
• New MFP Dashboard – Enhanced Print, Copy, Scan & Fax dashboard for supported MFPs for personalized workflows.
• PriApps Touch-Free – a contactless browser-based & smartphone app that offers personalized Print, Copy, Scan & Fax workflows on supported MFP brands.
• Google Chrome Extension – an Extension for the Google Chrome browser that allows Chromebook users to print directly to printers. This is a replacement for Google Cloud Print (GCP)
• Integration to Universal Print by Microsoft – PriApps offers a native API level integration to Universal Print for Microsoft 365 subscribers. Unlike a customized Universal Print connector PriApps’ integration utilizes the Cloud-based architecture of Microsoft Azure to reduce the costs of printing.
• Java Update – PriApps has updated the version of Java to eliminate potential security vulnerabilities
• Apache Update – PriApps has updated the version of Apache to eliminate potential security vulnerabilities
• Embedded Support for Brother BSI MFPs – PriApps has released its embedded Print Management & Document Capture app for Brother BSI MFPs.
• Integration to Azure AD – extended user management through seamless synchronization with Azure AD
• Various minor fixes & enhancements
