Contactless Printing helps Organizations comply with Social Distancing Guidelines
April 6th, 2020
Traditionally, PriApps’ Secure Print Release solution has been used to increase the security and confidentiality of printed documents. Now organizations are realizing additional benefits including complying with social distancing guidelines, and dramatically reducing the possibility of viral transmission through shared access to single and multi-function printers (MFPs).
PriApps offers a range of options that allow users to collect their printed documents at any print device in the office. So if someone is already using a printer for MFP for copying, users can simply walk up to the next available device, thereby keeping an acceptable social distance.
Unlike other pull print products, PriApps also offers a range of contactless printing options for releasing print jobs, regardless of the make or model of the print device. Rather than users having to touch the control panel of MFPs to login and select print jobs to release, PriApps allows users to release print jobs by taping an ID card on a card reader, or by releasing jobs via the PriApps Mobile app for smartphones and tablets, or even just using a simple web browser. All options are available for single-function printers and not just MFPs.
“In the wake of the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, many organizations are looking for ways to protect their staff, their partners, and their customers”, says Peter Turnbull, President & CEO of PriApps. “The inevitable economic downturn will refocus the attention of cost savings initiatives on areas of an organization’s operations that can deliver real, tangible results, fast. PriApps is well placed to help customers take control of their print and copy infrastructure and deliver substantial cost savings in doing so”.
