PriApps confirms Support for Microsoft Universal Print
July 21st, 2020
PriApps today confirmed that it supports Microsoft Universal Print. PriApps is a Microsoft ISV Partner and has been working with Microsoft to evaluate Universal Print as part of the Private Preview program since April 2020.
PriApps enhances Universal Print by allowing users to:
- securely release their print jobs at any printer or MFP using their smartphone, tablet, ID Card / door access badge, or at the control panel of MFPs using the PriApps MFP app
- track all print usage for reporting, analytics, billing & accounting
- assign Cost Account or client matter codes to any print job for client billing and cost recovery
- reduce costs and eliminate waste by influencing user behavior through rules-based printing and quota management
“When we first configured Universal Print with PriApps it just worked. There was no need to modify our software or develop customized components“, said Peter Turnbull, Co-founder & CEO of PriApps. “Users simply print to the PriApps myQueue via Universal Print and their print jobs are immediately available to release on any printer or MFP irrespective of make or model“.
Connecting Universal Print to the PriApps Print Management system instantly gives organizations access to a wealth of functionality designed to reduce print & copy costs, increase security & confidentiality, improve user productivity, and eliminate waste. Organizations can also benefit from PriApps Touch-Free, the first completely contactless single sign-on, print, copy, scan and fax app for printers and MFPs.
